I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the following:

I have several Android tablets which ideally I would like to set up so they have a type of Dropbox Folder on the desktop. The end users are not all tech savvy so I would like to make it as simple as possible.

I have installed Owncloud for business on the COS7 server and Owncloud Android client on the tablets. The problem I have is that the OC folder does not download the files until each one is clicked on. I really want to be able to have the files to have a two way sync without any end user interaction (i.e. I want to place the files in a folder in the office and they be uploaded to the various tablets for use without having to manually download the files).

I've tried FileSync (too many ads and fiddly), ES File Explorer (again too fiddly), DropBox is not a solution either as the android client doesn't download the files until clicked on.

Basically I am looking for a solution which works the same way as the desktop clients do, anyone have any suggestions ?

Owncloud is currently not supporting such a thing with their Android client only the desktop version, therefore the reason I posted here was really to see if there was any other type of solution using COS7 (sort of thinking out of the box) quite often posters here have had novel ways of achieving the impossible. There's no point in me paying for the Owncloud for Business if it won't do what I was hoping it would, I might as well use the flexshare route instead.

The whole idea was for the tablet's end user not to have to do much, the files would just be there when the office uploads them.

    Any suggestions anyone ?

    Cheers

    Stephen,

Perhaps is the option to ask this kind of question on the Owncloud forum.

I forgot to mention that the tablets are wifi only, hence the need for the files to be automatically downloaded (and therefore available) for use when not connected.
