I recently installed a ClearOS system as a gateway, web, plex server. May be going cloud as well. I also stream in my spare time. When I start my stream it will run for a minute or two, then my bitrate will drop to 0 and it will disconnect.

If I hook my main computer directly to the cable modem and bypass the ClearOS gateway I don't ever have any stream issues. I tried looking for ports to open up or something like that, but I can't seem to find what I need. Is there a way I can monitor the traffic and see what is being blocked and how to allow it to pass through the gateway?

Maybe I'm missing something else completely and the gateway isn't the issue, but I have a hard time with that because it works flawlessly when I bypass the gateway. It was also working great before I had the gateway installed and I was hooked up directly to a switch.

Thanks

I've no idea what you issue is here. We have already checked your NIC's and updated one of the drivers. One way of monitoring packets is using tcpdump but it can be hard to work out what is going on and I often have to resort to google for the tcpdump examples. The good thing about tcpdump is that it sits outside your firewall.

Do you by any chance need uPnP for streaming? If so, try the MiniUPNP app.
