Not sure if its the right place, but ...

I was trying out media servers.

Installed plex, had a bit of a set up, then I removed and did the same with Serviio.

For various reasons I decided to uninstall Serviio and go with plex.

However, now Ive reinstalled plex I cannot access the config.

For hostname or IP I get connection refused on port 32400 .even though it appears to be running properly

Ive tried removing and reinastalling but nothing changes, always connection refused.

Ideas?

    Dependin on your system setup.
If you are running a VM you can easily add a Debian install with Plex (my setup).
Otherwise is Nethserver 8 an alternative. The only downside is that NS8 is just released and having all the packages (yet)
If you install NS8 on a Debian platform i think you can install Plex very easy

Bottom line. COS is unfortunately history

Which version of Plex are you using.?
Current version of Plex are not working properly any more with Centos7, becuase it too old
Version 1.31.2.6810 is the latest which will work with COS7

Further more COS7 will be EOL soon, so moving to an other distro is to be advised
Don't expect any update or new version of COS

I am having pretty much the same issue. I had Plex working fine, then the other day, my Plex client on a Fire TV only showed content from the web, & nothing off the server. When I tried to use a web browser using the url http://192.168.1.1:32400/web/index.html#, it would not connect. I logged into the server, & the Plex server was not running, & would not start, so I rebooted the server, & now the Plex server is running, but still no connecting from the web browser or, the Plex client. What could be wrong? The Plex page in the ClearOS gui is set to allow all clients from the LAN.

    Thanks
