Tonight (16/07/19-17/07/19) the following updated packages are being released:

  • kernel plus support packages - This is a security release. Please restart your systems after receiving it.
  • app-nat-firewall - a maintenance release

All packages released into the Community last week are being pushed into Business and Home.

Delayed

  • app-dynamic-vpn - move the updown scripts to from the global conf file to the individual conns. This allows the Dynamic VPN and Static VPN apps to work at the same time. Also some config tidy-ups. The app is ready and tested. It just needs to be pushed to the repos but this has hit a glitch.

Packages available for testing:

  • app-dhcp - a community merge from Todd Lewis adding some TFTP functionality. Unfortunately this has been sitting in updates-testing and got forgotten about. please test!
  • app-network - probably not worth testing as there is a pending merge request which may cover some iof the issues found. Also you currently need to have at least two unconfigured interfaces before you can create a bridge interface in the first place. To permanently enable the Add Bridge button, you can change line 74 in /usr/clearos/apps/network/views/ifaces.php to:
    if ($available_interface_count >= 0)
    This is a separate issue.

Packages available for testing can be installed with:
yum update --enablerepo=clearos-updates-testing {package-name}

Packages being worked on:

  • app-storage - another big addition of code and some fixes
  • app-network - waiting on a code merge
  • yum-marketplace-plugin - Enable marketplace to work when behind a proxy

    Ok; it all becomes clear .. and it's down to date/time sort on the /app/software_updates page(!).

    I DO have the latest kernel, BUT the page 'lies'.

    If you expand the number of rows to show (eg) 200 .. all becomes clear. If you sort oldest-first, then everything appears in the correct order.

    Sort on LATEST first though .. then you get (eg)
    Jul 3, 4, 5, ...17,18,19, THEN June 2, 3, 4, etc (!!!!) - you'll also want to check the time field too ...(!)
    and NOT
    July 19,18,...6,5,4,June 30,29,28 ... 2,1

    Bug ....

    @Richard,
    What is the output from
    rpm -qa | grep ^kernel | sort
    If I do a:
    yum list kernel --show-duplicates
    I show 3.10.0-957.21.3.v7 in clearos-updates.

    Something odd is going on; I've just checked my 3 systems, and NON of them are showing the kernel as outstanding. The server with the most apps is showing the last update as back on June 26 (app-storage-2.6.15-1.v7).

    The mirrors in use ...
