I have just purchased an HPE micro Gen10 with Clear OS 7 pre-installed to replace a very long association with Microsoft
When I boot up the system it comes up with the Network Settings page and there the story ends.
I have connected the server to a modem directly and nominated external DNS servers.
It doesn't seem to matter how I try and configure the IP Addresses, I get an ERROR
[/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-eth] Device ethernet does not seem to be present, ...
If I reboot and F11 I can get to Shell>> and can ping the DNS servers outside the building.

I have been surfing the web for 6 hours and cannot find any suggested solutions that I can implement

Getting very frustrating

Any assistance would be very much appreciated
