Doh! You're one step ahead of us (me). I just published the Marketplace update today that includes additional 'cart rules' to prevent apps that are incompatible. Since Samba Directory is new, it wasn't in any of rules, but should have been.

Create a support ticket here to request a refund if you want to use the Samba Directory...Zarafa won't work with it at all until we have time to look at what Samba Directory attributes are required to the AD to enable it to work. Right now, a bunch of apps (usually requiring user extensions which modify the LDAP structure and are named app-XXXX-extension) are only compatible with the Open LDAP directory, and not MS Active Directory Sync, Google Apps Sync or the new Samba Directory.
