I have version 6.6 installed now, will I have to do a clean installation to go to version 7.x when released?

I've heard nothing more. The only thing we've been pointed to so far is to export and re-import users. There is a recent HowTo for migrating POP/IMAP, but not much else. For me there will be a huge amount of manual stuff to do so I'll have to put it off to the summer after my studies!

    Hi all

I'm unsure if this has been asked again, does any one know of an upgrade process that is available for the Home edition?

There is no tool as yet (see Beta 3 release notes) and if it becomes available will inevitably require some command line hacking to migrate configurations across, here's hoping that there is something to make the process either feasible or relatively less painful :-)

    https://www.clearos.com/support/documentation/clearos/content:en_us:announcements_releases_clearos_community_7.1.0_beta_3_release_information

With regards to the drivers, ClearOS 7.1 Beta 3 has kernel-3.10.0-229.4.2.v7.x86_64 which includes the alx.ko module and supports the AR8161 out of the box

You mean like backup/archive on the old OS and restore on the new ClearOS. Is that reported to work?

Will AR8161 drivers be in the new ClearOS 7.x or will i have to compile them again?

    #lspci

    Yes, I believe so.

If I'm correct there was some talking about a tool to migrate your configuration to your new install.
