There is a whole Clearcenter channel here on YouTube.

I presume you've completed the installation at the console. Which mode did you install in? Standalone or Gateway? Either way the console should show you your IP addresses in the IP Settings. If you're in gateway mode, make sure you have enabled the DHCP server on the LAN interface. If you're in standalone mode, if you have connection type is DHCP, not your IP address. If you're in standalone mode and your IP is static, make sure it is on the same LAN subnet as the rest of your network and the IP address is outside the range used by your router's DHCP server.

By default, your ClearOS LAN IP will be 192.168.1.1. Longer term this is not a good subnet and should be changed, but not to 192.168.0.0/24 either.

Once you have determined your LAN IP, if in gateway mode, connect your PC directly to the ClearOS LAN port. If in standalone mode just connect your PC to the LAN. Then browse to https://your_clearos_lan_IP:81. Hote it is https and the non standard port 81.

    Hi there
I've managed to install the ClearOS Home Edition on my MINEBOX, but I haven't been able to connect my MAC or my PC to it so far.
I have installed Samba and Fileshare to no avail. Do you have any videos on how to do that?
    Cheers
    George

To install ClearOS on Minebox, simply make a USB key of ClearOS from the ISO and perform a full install. You will want to backup any of your data before doing this as the install of ClearOS will wipe your system. You can use the video training found here to help you get through the installation process:

    https://www.clearos.com/resources/training/clearos-certifications/guruPcategs/41-cccc

You will want to contact ClearCenter support so that you can get a license for ClearOS since there are some license and product entitlements that you get from being a Minebox user.

    Hello George,
I don't know the Minebox but I believe it is just a configured Gen10 Microserver. If you are wanting to load ClearOS into the Minebox O/S, I don't believe that is possible but I'd expect you to be able to overwrite your current installation with ClearOS if you really want.

I believe there are some big developments coming with Minebox and it will be migrated over to the ClearOS platform or ClearVM platform towards July. ClearVM needs a major release then ClearCenter will need to release ClearNode. Clearcenter made a proposal to existing Minebox owners earlier this year. If you have not been contacted by ClearCenter, please raise a ticket with them. It may have to be a General Enquiry ticket if you don't have any subscription. They will respond, but probably not until at least Tuesday due to the holidays.
