As per the title.
I'm using Proxmox with 3 instances of ClearOS.
ClearOS recognises the virtual drive if it is configured as SATA as these show as /dev/sdx but this prevents Proxmox from taking live snapshots for some reason
Is there a hack to make Storage Manager app recognise /dex/vdx please?

Have a look at the Storage Manager Technical Guide. It looks like you should be able to edit /etc/fstab to point to your /dev/vdx device. Make sure you unmount the original device which is mapped to the storage manager first.
