I'm quite ready to deploy ClearOs but, to my surprise, even if RSAT is linked here: https://documentation.clearos.com/content:en_us:kb_o_managing_group_policies_in_samba_directory_-_samba_4 I cant use it. Windows keeps advising me that I have to join with a Domain Account (that I do); I don't understand where am I wrong, or if it's a ClearOs problem. Anyway I don't know how to make network drives to user without RSAT and all other useful permissions I can do with it. What should I do?

If you join your PC to the ClearOS domain (which is an old-style NT domain) you can run login scripts to map network drives, but you'll have to google it if you want the mappings based on groups. Microsoft withdrew the utility which used to do it but I think there ore other ways floating round the internet. Check the Windows Networking app documentation for the registry changes you need to join the domain and run login scripts. For e-mail, the Domain signon works with Outlook, I believe. I have no idea about other clients. I use Thunderbird but I am not domain joined. I have never used OpenFIre.

I am not sure what you you are trying to automate. ClearOS LDAP will tie into ClearOS e-mail (Kopano/Zarafa/Cyrus-IMAP/SMTP) and ClearOS Flexshares and just about all other services in ClearOS. The AD Connector will do the same except you can't use Kopano or Zarafa. What instant messaging? Do you mean Openfire? That should also be integrated but I have never used it.

I want to automathize the network drive mount on windows, and the user login for openfire and the imap, according to my needs.

Your linked doc is for Samba Directory which never made it out of beta and was withdrawn nearly 2 months ago because of unfixable issues. If you already have an AD DC, you really want the Active Directory Connector which is a paid option in Community and Home but included with Business. This allows you to join ClearOS to your domain. You then use RSAT as normal on your DC and ClearOS will use the users and groups from the AD DC.

There is an alternative which is to run ClearOS as an AD DC, but it has never been productionised. You will find it here - Using ClearOS as an Active Directory Domain Controller, but it still needs the Active Directory Connector.

Otherwise you need to use ClearOS's built in OpenLDAP directory to manage users.
