Tonight (08/10/19-09/10/19) the following updated packages are being released:

  • app-samba - enable winbind always. It will be needed for flexshares in 7.7
  • app-firewall - add a rule in preparation for kernel mode PPPoE
  • app-dhcp - updated MAC address database
  • app-network-map - updated MAC address database

All packages released into the Community last week are being pushed into Business and Home.

* = the package is also being released to Business at the same time.

Packages available for testing

  • samba - Please test. We are trying to revert to upstream.
  • 7.7 Beta - Please see this thread for more details. Note this includes the samba update.
  • nextcloud - update to 16.x. Details in this thread.
  • app-kopano - update underlying Kopano package to 8.7.5. The update is complete and available for testing for anyone with a valid kopano licence only. Details are in this post and the preceding one.
  • app-dns - you should not notice any change! Do not update if you use the Active Directory Connector.
  • app-network - code merge complete. I've also tweaked it for kernel mode PPPoE (much faster and lower resoures). I am not totally sure what the main code merge contains but I know it allows more interface types. I think it includes support for Cellular and Wireless interfaces. For the moment we are not forcibly converting PPPoE interfaces over, but if you edit an interface it will switch to kernel mode. If you use Bridge interfaces, it introduces some support but is not complete (it does not reliably enable BRIDGE_STP support and you cannot usr the webconfig to add a VLAN or virtual IP to the bridges interface).

Unless detailed otherwise, packages available for testing can be installed with:
yum update --enablerepo=clearos-updates-testing {package-name}

Packages being worked on:

  • app-storage
  • app-active-directory - to disable split DNS when Gateway Management is enabled. Note this is in a paid repo so can't be easily tested for the moment.
