Dear All

I am new to forum and ClearOS, I would like to install ClearOs on HP server DL380 G6, as per the hardware recommendation it shows on web site HP DL380 G9. i want to use this server for email server and web services.

Kindly advice if DL380 G6 can be used for the clearos latest verson.

    Hi complete the ClearOS 7 installation, it work well so far.

    You won't harm the hardware. I'd recommend ClearOS 7 if it installs OK. The only way to find out is by installing it. ClearOS 6.x goes EOL next year so I'd avoid it on a new installation. It also has extra features over 6.x.

    Thanks, since the ClearOS 7 is set as x86_64 which is compatible, i think. If i force the installation will it harm the hardware or shall i go with ClearOS6 x86_64?

    I *think* it will work but don't know for certain. I believe ClearOS 7 comes with the P410i drivers but see this thread relating to ClearOS 6.
