Hi guys,
I'm trying to build an as bare as possible clearOS system; so far so good, except for the fact that I couldn't figure out how to disable "gconsole". I've checked systemd but didn't find anything related. I'm aware that it can be disabled on clearOS 6 through inittab...but how to do it on 7 ?

Thanks for any help,
F.

It should only have been consuming resources if you had your console looking at it. If the console was at the red screen then no resources should be consumed - I think.

Thanks Nick, I ended up removing the package ('yum remove gconsole'), since the daemon was there consuming resources...

You can't. It does not run unless you ask it to by logging in through the red screen at the console and launching the graphical console.
