Hi guys. I have just migrated from 6.x backup to newly installed 7.x version.
I want to change something in configuration and I need to change Directory (LDAP) base domain. I have a lot of users already and i don't want to lose them, but change some of their attributes like emails that generated automatically using base domain as I can see.

Could you please explain how to do that safely ?

p.s. another option could be a guide how to move existing LDAP with Samba AD (etc) to fresh installation of ClearOS 7.

The OpenLDAP directory server will handle it. Other apps in the marketplace are supposed to handle it. If it doesn't then there is a bug. Backup and try it out.

From memory, in the early days of 6.3 I changed my base domain. More or less it should just work but I remember it threw up a few bugs - #1721 and #1718. They may have been fixed as part of #1719 and its linked bug #1727. I'd hope it is better now with those last two fixes.
