I need to step up out of office message for one of the email account in our ClearOS server. However, it doesn't seem to work at all. I searched on the Internet about this and found out that you can set up Out of Office message through ROUNDCUBE WEBMAIL. So, I did. I logged into the email account from RoundCube webmail and set up a filter Settings -> Filters -> Out of Office Message. Then, save it. No matter what email I send the test email from, it does not send any out of office message whatsoever. Just as a side: I recently upgraded our ClearOS server from 7.2 to 7.5 and installed Let's Encrypt app. The weird thing is that Out of Office message use to work on the older version. So, could someone guide me in the right direction on setting up a Out of Office message on ClearOS. Thank You.

If you are using the Cyrus IMAP service this functionality would be most likely provided by Sieve (mail filtering language). Though Sieve works with different IMAP Services, I do not believe that this is the case with Kopano fork from Zarafa.

I'll post a plug for Kopano. They have a nice out of office setting. It's such a clean app. Although they have yet to get their forwarding rules working.

    Hi Nick,

Good Question. Well, it works for us. I believe we overlooked that one option PERIOD for the Out of Office message. Plus, the person who set it up for their email account didn't save it or enable the filter. Once I logged in and redid the filter for her, it started to work. All of my co-workers verified it.

My guess is that the email server takes any message valid or invalid coming in as the start of the PERIOD time and only after PERIOD has expired you will get a new out of office message when you send a new email ......

    Is this really resolved?

I've just tried it and my first message was rejected as it had an invalid (totally missing) "from" in the first line of this part of the log:

I've tried setting a Reply-to in my Roundcube set up, but I can't try again as Roundcube thinks it has already sent one out of office ....
