I have recently fresh-installed ClearOS 7.1 Business for Gateway mode, configured my network cards, installed the apps, etc.

Everything seems OK until I go to "Web Proxy Server" and choose to "Start". From that point on, I get the "Firewall has entered panic mode" error on every startup. I don't have any rules set up yet.

Looking at the system log, I see "Running firewall panic mode..." always occurs immediately after "Web proxy is online" like so:
Feb 23 17:15:15 gateway firewall: Web proxy is online
Feb 23 17:15:15 gateway firewall: Running firewall panic mode...

Please help!

    It was an outside chance, but it is not the drivers.

    @Rodrigo,
    If you received a kernel update in any of your recent updates, please can you reboot your server to have the new kernel take effect?

    Hi,

    I had updated the system before it started showing this messages. I have rebooted the server a few times and its the same every time. the network seems to be working ok for a while, but then at some point it starts to slowdown, causing the internet to be intermittent. Also another thing that is hapening is the account system goes offline and it comes back sometimes after a reboot.

    I'm still at a loss at this point, the system install is only a few days old.

    Issue resolved. I checked Software Updates again and there was a huge number of updates available. Updates fixed this issue.
