Guys

We are running ClearOS 7.3 on our server. We had added an IP address to the Banned IPs section under the Global Settings of Content Filter Engine. The proxy is running in non-transparent mode. However the device with this particular IP is able to access the internet. Previously we were using ClearOS 6.8 and were able to prevent access to specific devices by adding the IPs to the Exception IPs list...

Any thoughts why the same wont work with the 7.3

Looking forward to your response..

Later on found that some sites like google and Wikipedia opens up, but others are blocked as expected. And this happens only on Chrome. In IE and Firefox all sites are blocked as expected. Cant explain this behavior though.

To block all internet from a particular machine usually means blocking more than just web traffic. If this is the case then you should use the Egress Firewall, Gateway.Management, or a custom firewall rule.
