We have clearos 6, content fitler works ok on cell phones when using Chrome, however the same pages are showed when using safari or the android native browser.

Clearos is configured in transparent mode.

Remember the content filter does not filter https in transparent mode. There is no obvious reason that it should work differently on different browsers as it is transparent to the browser. Could the non-functioning devices be using https instead of http? Search engines (google etc) could be more aggressively linking to https pages rather than http.

Have a read of the Content Filtering Deep Dive Whitepaper. In addition to the methods mentioned there, there is also the Gateway Management product in the marketplace.

You´re right, the webpages are blocked when type the url directly to the address bar, and not when using search engines.

So, the only way to block https is using non transparent mode?
