Anyone using Bittorrent Sync? I followed Whatbox's tutorial to get it to work on ClearOS. It's less than idea (needs to be manually started) but it works great.

I simply point out other solutions that natively support the function you are looking for which I think you might miss out. Obviously you don't and you have much more knowledge in this subject than I do. Well, good for you, and your attitude too.[/quote]
Thanks buddy. Maybe you should go and offer some more native solutions for people posting in the hacks sub-forum. You're doing a great job. :woohoo: -

Ok, so this is a complex post to reply to, it's like you're unintentionally trolling me. Telling me to use FreeNAS on a ClearOS forum...and then suggesting I use OwnCloud when I'm talking about BittorrentSync. But I'll take the bait since I just used FreeNAS before switching to ClearOS.
Yes, FreeNAS has BittorrentSync. However, it uses jails, and making sure permissions work across those jails so that Plex can access BTSync's files is a huge pain in the butt. On top of that, FreeNAS needs the minimum of 8gb of RAM to operate effectively (otherwiser you get 4MB/s transfer over a network, trust me). So hacking ClearOS to run BitTorrentSync is better than FreeNAS. Which reminds me, I posted this in the 'hacks' section of the forums, not the 'refer people to a FreeBSD based NAS' section.
Now for your suggestion of Owncloud. Thanks, but no. I posted about BittorrentSync because I use BittorrenSync. That's why BittorrentSync is in the subject of the post. When you're drinking coffee I don't offer you a five hour energy, so don't hijack my thread with a different cloud solution than what I'm asking about. The question isn't "HEY I WANTZ CLOUDS HOW MAKE?" It's "This is my implementation of bittorrent sync on ClearOS, does anyone else have a similar method for a CentOS based system?"
