I think this is something that was briefly touched on a long while back, but I notice that unlike many other active & vibrant FLOSS projects, ClearOS/ClearFoundation lacks an active IRC channel (despite FreeNode #ClearFoundation being listed online - bit all it has are tumbleweeds blowing through).
Does anyone know what the status is of this?
I strongly believe that it's an essential part of any strong FLOSS project & I'd dearly like to collaborate & participate with others in the Clear community in such a forum.

Hi!
The IRC chatroom is now logged:
http://irc.tiki.org/irclogger_logs/clearfoundation
And searchable:
http://irc.tiki.org/irclogger_log_search/clearfoundation
This will help with continuity and motivate people.
If / when desired, we can move this data to the Clear Foundation servers, but in the mean time, it's a simple thing for the Tiki Association to provide.
Best regards,

My familiarity with IRC is mostly as an end-user.
This should do the trick: http://www.ehow.com/how_8718003_change-irc-bots-greet-message.html -

I'll be there tomorrow in the IRC. I expect that people will be able to ask questions about development. Ask troubleshooting and best practices. Talk with us about the timeline for modules and releases. We are a pretty open group when it comes to what we are doing.
Friday is the day we typically meet on the a conference call for development purposes. Perhaps we will work in a way to have this be a conferencing bridge for those who want to talk as well. We often work on pushing through things in the build system and coordinating things that cannot be accomplished by a single individual. The community is welcome to join this process.
@Jaco, Mike (CEO of ClearCenter) is in NZ as well so we feel your pain. -
