I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the Community version or just my lack of knowledge, but I am having trouble integrating with AD. This is my first install and I clicked on users to add another user. I have the 3 options to use: LDAP, Samba, or AD. I would like to use AD, but I don't want to pay the annual fee for the marketplace app. Do I need to do that in order to choose this option here? I would like to integrate into my AD network if at all possible. However, when I choose AD as an option to install, it acts like it's going to go through the install. However, it comes to a blank screen every time. Then, when I click back, I get the error at the bottom of the window:

Account Manager Status
Install failed, please check your network connection.

What do I need to do?

That's what I was thinking... I'm not looking to create a directory server, though... I just want to use AD for the user list in ClearOS... I think I understand though, that this will not work without paying for it... no big deal... I appreciate the assistance...

In Community you need to purchase a subscription for $125/y. It looks like it is cheaper to run Business Bronze where it is included for up to 50 users and only costs $108/y. Really your only sensible free Directory Server is OpenLDAP. Samba Directory is best avoided for the moment until some further testing is done.
