Importing Translations

We recommend using the Translation Server for doing translations for ClearOS. However, if you prefer working directly with the text files on the ClearOS operating system, this document provides information on how to import these files.

To get started:

  • Go to the Translate Server
  • Click on Login in the top right corner and sign in.
  • Click on Home in the top navigation
  • Click on ClearOS under the Projects section
  • Click on your language

What you are seeing at this point is a list of translation files - each one represents a ClearOS app.

Uploading the Translation

Now you are ready to upload the app translation.

  • Click on the Upload link on the right-hand side
  • Select your import file (e.g. language/fr_FR/date_lang.php)
  • Select Overwrite the current file if it exists and complete the upload


Review the translation to make sure the upload worked correctly.
