I saw that suggestion in other thread and I already tried that with 123456 as password but same results, it's good to mention that I can't login neither to the user home directory via FTP port 2121 and something I noted today is that the authentication fails accessing via web too.

I'm suspecting on the TLS now, maybe the result of the comparison between the password stored in the LDAP and the one used in query to make login aren't equal, is there any way to check that?

I have the same error, don't have a fresh install it's a production instance. Originally I did not install the FTP app to my box so I added it, and I get the same 530 Login incorrect I make some diggin here but seems it doest have a solution so I decided to make a debug from proftpd and I found this:



It catches my eye on 2017-05-23 16:47:57,925 gali.tmi.gt proftpd[18135] 172.16.1.2 (172.16.0.151[172.16.0.151]): crypt(3) failed: Invalid argument maybe someone can help us.
