Hi,

I recently needed to re-install kopano, because of a mistake I did (link). Now I do not have the kopano webaccess menu anymore. What package do I need to add to get that back?

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Robert

    Dear Nick,

Since you mentioned you do not have it installed let me give you a quick overview. I took some screenshots for illustration and removed personal data, they are attached below.

As Dirk mentioned the webaccess location is: Server>Communication and Collaboration>Kopano Basic
What you can see there are in Figure Kopano Overview 1/2.
The license key must be put in (Figure Kopano License) to make everything work. According to my information there is only a "basic" key available right now.

Considering the backup at the bottom of the page, one can choose how often a backup should be taken (Figure Kopano Backup 1) and where is should be stored (Figure Kopano Backup 2). The default is /var/clearos/kopano_basic/backup/, but also Flexshare folders can be used (no subfolders). I am sure there is a possibility to put custom folders somewhere in a config/php file.
Nothing else needs to be done here considering the backup. Works out of the box.

Just one thing needs to be done, which is allowing users to use Kopano (under: System>Accounts>Users). I have a Kopano and Zarafa box I can activate for each user (Figure Account User Settings), but the Zarafa options are just a left over, since I used Zarafa since years before Kopano came up.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if I can help with the docu.

    Best wishes,

    Robert

    @Robert,
What are your references for the backup strategy as I was going to try to research it and write it up for the ClearOS documentation. I have this doc from Kopano, and I know how to do a mysqldump for the brick-level backup. What is available through the webapp (I don't use it atm, but may have to install it for the wirteup)?

    Dear Dirk,

Thank you very much. It is all fine now again. It just installed app-kopano-basic and app-kopano-basic-core.

My subscription is also shown in the webconfig again (I do not have the community version). The reason for the "test-server" version was an update to kopano 8.5.8 posted by Ben if I remember correctly (link). It could not be done over the normal updates, because it needed some hands on and is still just available over the "test-server" version. The reason why I wanted the webconfig setup back is that I like the recursive backup method built in kopano, which is easier to access through the webconfig. I additionally backup the database and attachments on a daily base for disaster recovery.

Thank you again. You helped me a lot.

    Best wishes,

    Robert

Try and do a yum install of app-kopano-basic and see what it wants to install. You can choose 'no' for the time being when yum prompts you to install. Based on your yum list of kopano, I would wager all yum will want to install is app-kopano-basic and app-kopano-basic-core. Any other dependencies are more than likely installed on your server, but you can verify that with
    yum deplist app-kopano-basic
and compare it to what yum wanted to install. You won't be able to select the repository since they're private due to kopano being a subscription from Clearcenter. I'm curios as to why your installed kopano apps are through a private testing repo, since it's a subscription service, unless maybe you're using ClearOS Community edition where some semblance of kopano comes free in the Community edition, and maybe you subscribed later through the Marketplace?

I'm pretty sure kopano basic is responsible for covering your subscription through Clearcenter, which will require you enter a license in the Webconfig once the package is installed. You can get that license number through your Clearcenter portal. I'm assuming you went through that at one time.

I might backup all kopano folders if I were you, prior to doing any yum install.

    updatedb
    locate kopano
then copy all relevant folders to a dependable source.

Looks like I do not have kopano-basic installed. Is it complementary to app-kopano and app-kopano-core? I also guess I need the version from the test repo.

    Dear Dirk,

Happy New Year and sorry for the slow response. Yes, I meant the webconfig and I used to have a menu under Server>Communication and Collaboration>Kopano Basic. I do have a valid subscription.

I do have the folder /usr/clearos/apps/kopano and /usr/clearos/apps/kopano_extension, but no folder with /usr/clearos/apps/kopano_basic, so I cannot show you the info.php, because it does not exist. Am I maybe missing a package for the webconfig?

    Thank you.

    Best wishes,

    Robert

I'm assuming when you say webaccess, you mean webconfig? I don't think there's any app available specifically linking the webconfig and kopano. Yum doesn't see any, nor are there any that I can see in the clearos repository mirrors, albeit that doesn't mean there isn't one.

If you successfully followed the Kopano upgrade I suggested in your link, you should have folders for Kopano in /usr/clearos/apps. I have /usr/clearos/apps/kopano, /usr/clearos/apps/kopano_basic, and /usr/clearos/apps/kopano_extension. I have a Kopano Basic subscription, so my Webconfig has a menu item under Server>Communication and Collaboration>Kopano Basic. If you do have similar folders, do you have the file /usr/clearos/apps/kopano_basic/deploy/info.php? If you do, what does the script look like in it?
