I've recently upgraded my trusty 5.nn server. After it's 3rd hard drive looked on it's last legs, it got a new one, a new box and 7.nn. So far I love it.
I have the mail server running smoothly, IMAPSYNC brought all of my old mail to the new box.
One thing has me stumped. I've scoured the forums looking for the answer, nothing.

The all KB database entry is equally unhelpful:
https://www.clearos.com/resources/documentation/clearos/content:en_us:5_mail_quarantine

I can't find the mail quarantine. Obviously I'm keen on checking the queue for any false positives!

Is it my installation, or do I need my hand held here?
Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid the Mail Quarantine app was never ported across.

Oh, thanks Nick, thought I was getting sillier.

This is unfortunate, seems to me that it's quite important.
Is it in the commercial version?
What about the market place. Anything there offer it?

I'd find it difficult going to a client I'd recommended a ClearOS solution to and explaining where the rejected and potentially false positive messages were going.

Not having it swings the decision about hosting my own mail further against.

    Cheers!

I think the concept of mail quarantine was removes when Horde was not included in ClearOS 6 packaging but I am not sure.

From 6.x onwards the concept of mail quarantine completely disappeared. The current concept is to have two levels of spam. When the lower threshold is reached, the subject line gets tagged with [SPAM] and the message is passed. The threshold is adjustable. Then there is a discard threshold. This is also customisable and can be enabled or disabled.

When spam tagged messages are passed, this enables the individual user to make the decision. Many mail clients, such as Thunderbird can be set to trust this header but it is not so easy to reclassify it is not-spam. Alternatively you can set up rule in the mail client to send it to a junk folder where it can be reviewed.

Personally I use the sieve filter in Roundcubemail to send these messages to a junk folder but this has to be done when you as an admin know the users password, so when setting the user up, or else the user has to set up the filter themselves.

I have never investigated what Kopano does with spam tagged messages but I could investigate (messages get spam tagged by the anti-spam app before they go to cyrus-imap or Kopano).
