I need to replace this clunky and loud 80GB seagate drive in my gateway, I just happen to have a 240GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD here that I wouldn't mind using as it's replacement even if 85% of the space is wasted.

so I installed the Bare Metal Backup and Restore app from the market, what I would like to know is

Does this backup everything like my apps and app configurations?

IE Plex app and all the Libraries and metadata of my shows*cough*anime*cough*?
what about firewall rules, I'm still trying to find a less 'technical' and less 'time consuming' way to do country blocking but currently i'm blocking IP Blocks for the countries I don't want to deal with for incoming connections, but that's a ton of IP's to add and I do want some countries to be allowed cause I share my libraries with some friends around the world.

so in short I need a way to back up the apps or at the very least app data so that I can do a fresh install to the SSD and install the apps and restore the backup so all their settings and location information is restored.

If you really want to do a fresh install, you can use a config backup to restore all your current settings. You can download the file from the webconfig or pull it from /var/clearos/configuration_backup.

If you don't want to do a fresh install you should be able to copy the disk image from one disk to the other with dd booted from a live CD/USB or something like Clonezilla. You can then extend the partition (and also the LVM depending on how you initially installed) to use the rest of the disk space.

BMB should allow you to do a full system restore without doing an installation, but I've never tried it so I don't know how much data it brings across.
