Hello All -

Prior to doing a clean install, I am curious which method is the best practice.

Given that 7.1 is in beta - is it best to understand that in a home environment (knowing its beta of course) and be able to upgrade to the final version when it's released or is it best to install the Clear OS 6.X Pro version and upgrade to 7.1 when it's final?

In otherwords, I haven't been able to locate a thread or FAQ that outlines the upgrade paths available to production users using 6.X or beta testers to the final release version once 7 is ready.

Thanks

For ease of upgrade to 7.x go for the 7.1 beta, but remember it is beta. I personally would expect it to go to final pretty soon but as beta you may find a few packages missing.

Found this and it appears to answer it.

Looks like installing 7.x beta is the way to go...easier to upgrade to the final release once its out.
