Resolved

Greetings to all

I have an application that needs the version of mariadb newer than the 5.5.56 that it currently brings.

How can I do the update?

Thank you.

Same here - need MariaDB 10 for tomcat application to run properly... :( Trying to ditch old Windows server and this is last thing I gotta do...

Any luck with your task? Did you solve it? Does the upgrade affect functionality of ClearOS web-interface?

Help from devs would be appreciated here...

Googling for "update mariadb centos7" gives quite a few references if you want to try yourself. I've no idea of any side effects. Try setting up a test machine and have a play.

Note that ClearOS also has a sandboxed version of MariaDB (system-mysql) for its system files. It may be worth backing up those configs as well before upgrading.
