Hi,

I am relatively new to Clear OS. For whatever reason, I am unable to access the web interface on a ClearOS virtual machine since late December.
I can connect through the console but cannot ping from (or to) the ClearOS GW (192.168.1.1).
I have not created any FW rules and I am using the device to isolate a Windows based test environment.
There are two interfaces and last time I was able to connect was through the internal interface (https://192.168.1.1:81)

When I attempt to ping from the console I can ping the GW itself at 192.168.1.1 but no other internal server IP addresses.
The message received is "ping: Sendmsg: Operation not permitted."
All the internal servers can ping and communicate with each other.
How can I re-establish access to the web interface so that I can alter some parameters?
Currently I only have console access.

Thanks in Advance,
Henry

Thought I replied but cannot see it so will answer again.
No, they are on different subnets. It worked before Christmas.
The system has no internet access and is part of a completely isolated system. The ClearOS is simply a vm in a vcenter 7 environment.

    Hi Nick,
The LAN and external interfaces are on different VLAN's and subnets.
It was working before Christmas and I was able to access the web interface but when I attempt to connect now the web page doesn't respond (probably due to the fact it cannot ping or contact anything on the local lan or the external lan.)
The system has no internet connectivity and is used to simply isolate a test environment.
The GW is a vCenter 7 virtual machine and I can access the console. No firewall rules were applied.

Are the LAN and external interfaces of ClearOS on the same subnet? If so that won't work. Make sure you have one External interface on one subnet, put your ClearOS LAN interface on a different subnet and make sure ClearOS is in Gateway mode. You can do this from the console.

Is the ClearOS External interface bridged in your hypervisor or what?
