Hello,

I got a working CentOS7 install that I wanted to expand RAM on, I powered down the VM and added 2GB extra (new total of 4GB). When the job was done on the PM I cannot start the VM (button is disabled) and the "Storage not found - HOST STORAGE DEVICE" is staring back at me. How to get past this hurdle? Do I need to wipe the entire disc using initialized?

PS. I tried to post an comment on this thread but I got denied to post (auto removed twice when trying to comment).

New posters have to wait for their initial posts to be approved. I'll delete your other two.

Do you mean Centos or ClearOS? If it is Centos you have the wrong forum, but either way you should be able to just add more memory and restart without any issues. If you cannot restart there must be something else going wrong.

I mean CentOS7 and I mistakenly posted this on the ClearOS when it should have been on ClearVM. I deleted the virtual machine and re-initialized the disk. I have now got a working VM again... but the only thing I did was to add (virtual) RAM to my VM...

ClearVM is fine. It is part of the ClearOS stable of products. Presumably your VM was Centos. Anyway you have the right forum. Unfortunately there are few people here who cover ClearVM.

It may be worth keeping your eyes out as the next ClearVM should be due you soon and, apparently, will be a lot better and support more hardware.
