If one tries to connect to a ibVPN server located in a city with double-word name, such as New York or Hong Kong, then ibVPN ver. 1.2.3-1 fails to connect.

Investigating the logs reveals a syntax error in constructing /etc/clearos/ibvpn.d/ibvpn.ovpn file:

Feb 18 03:11:50 gateway ibvpn[16208]: Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in /etc/clearos/ibvpn.d/ibvpn.ovpn:3: remote (2.4.4)

A buggy line 3 in that file looks like:

remote New York 1194 udp

Removing the space in the city name or replacing the whole city name with a dash (-) solves the issue.

    Mansoor,

    Thanks for the bug report!

The problem has been fixed in the latest release candidate (v1.2.4-1 in clearos-contribs-testing).

You can upgrade to the latest test release via the command-line using:

    # yum update --enablerepo=clearos-contribs-testing app-ibvpn
