Notice: This doesn't only apply to ClearOS. This applies to ALL non-Windows Server-ran domains.

I realized that domain logins to Samba domains and other non-Windows Server driven domains are very slow, and takes up to 30 seconds before it shows your desktop... Even on very powerful systems, with a really stable and fast network connection.
So, I've been doing a little bit of research and even playing around on some systems of mine.
I've figured out how to GREATLY improve login wait time, to nearly instant.
It's all with the simple work of messing around with Group Policies.
You must change a few settings in the policy editor.
Please note however, this must be done to all systems on your network...

How to do this?
Simple, open group policy editor [Start -> Run -> "gpedit.msc"]
Follow these paths once you are in the GPol.

Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / User Profiles
"Set maximum wait time for the network if a user has a roaming...." to 1 (setting it to 0 will default it to 30 seconds)

Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Group Policy
"Startup policy processing wait time..." to 1 (do NOT set it to 0)

[ I think though, this slow login only applies when you have Roaming Profiles turned on... Not entirely sure there ]
