Hello all,
I had to migrate my ClearOS on a new machine. Everything was fine till the last thing I had to do ; installing backuppc. It seems there's no more package for that because when trying i get the following error :

Marketplace transaction in progress. This can take a few seconds - please be patient.
error, no package marked/selected for install

So I tried using the commande line but here again, I get the following error : No package BackupPC available.

I saw that I'm connected to the Amsterdam mirror site ; could I try somewhere else ? if yes, I dont know howto change that ...

Per advance, thanks for your help and Happy Christmas to all

BackupPC is not mentioned in my ClearOS 6.9 Marketplace, but I could install it from "yum install BackupPC --enablerepo=clearos-contribs". However, webconfig doesn't pick it up after installation and therefore I don't get the installation web page. Installing via the config.pl file is a bit cumbersome, I'm still struggling to get it right. It would probably be easier to get access to the installation web page. Probably something like "url/BackupPC?action=?????", but what should replace the ???? part?

    Hello all,
Finally the problem has been solved. There was a problem with the registration of the system. It was described as registered but .... The support center changed something with the registration and finally I was able to install it without any change in the repos.

Thanks to all for your help :)

Ben says you need to do it from the marketplace to get the private backuppc repo added.

My bad...Missed that you guys were referring to v6.

Just fired up a v6 VM I had 'on standby' to test it out. Getting this app in v6 must be done through the Marketplace so that you can get access to this repo

    private-clearcenter-backuppc

If you don't see that repo in your 'yum install app-backuppc', something went wrong with your MP checkout.

I had no issues after I added a (free) license to give my test server access to that repo and then run yum install:

This is what you should see:

    yum install app-backuppc

    @Ben,
The question refers to ClearOS 6.7. If you look in clearos-contribs for 6.7 there are no app-backuppc* packages, just the PackupPC package. I could not find app-backuppc* in any of the 6.7 repos.

Nick's right, but I think he's got it backwards. BackupPC (core engine) is located in clearos-fast-updates...we usually just use this repo for...you guessed it...quick patches when we don't want to wait for mirrors to sync. The app-backuppc (that the Marketplace uses) is in clearos-contribs, and you'd need to have that enabled for Marketplace to pick it up...That's a bug really...I'm not sure of the history of this app or why it uses ClearCenter's private repos in the first place...my guess is that BackupPC source RPM wasn't available in the v6 days.

I'll get that fixed permanently by pulling in that repo dynamically when you select that app.

It is still available in clearos-contribs, so try "yum install BackupPC --enablerepo=clearos-contribs". I can't see any webconfig packages (app-backup*) there. They exist in 7.x but I don't know if they do in 6.x and I can't get to my VM to check for the moment. You could try "yum list app-backup* --enablerepo=*" to see if they exist anywhere.
