It should show recommendations if you have bad ones enabled. Are you on Community or a paid version? What is the output of

yum repolist

.

It shows up in notifications

And that is all the error message shows

yum update does not show any errors

Nor does yum repolist all

So I am not sure how to narrow it down.

Give us a clue?
