Could use some help...I searched, but particulars are not necessarily the same...

I just upgraded my 6.x box to 7.2 and added a second LAN nic.

My goal is to use rules to disable the second NIC at a time of my choosing, but otherwise it would act like it is on the first LAN NIC subnet.

WAN GATEWAY by default is 192.168.1.1

LAN SEGMENT #1 is
192.168.1.0/24
255.255.255.0

LAN SEGMENT #2 is
192.168.2.0/24
255.255.255.0

How best in 7.2 can I set up a static route between the two? Each LAN works fine through the gateway right now, but can't "see" each others machines internal to the LAN...

Thanks, in advance!
Jim

Something looks wrong as you have the same subnet on your WAN and LAN1. You should not do this. Normally of the two LAN's are defined as LAN's (not DMZ or HotLAN) then traffic should freely pass between the LANs (but not Uni/Multicast traffic)
