We are using ClearOS Professional release 6.7.0 (Final) with Zarafa Small Business. The Zarafa server is having a hard time with requests with our current configuration. We are considering replacing the drives with 10K/15k SAS HDDs or with SSDs. Can anyone give me some input on suggestions or problems that may occur?

Hey, thanks for your response. Sorry for the late response.

Can you tell me what brand/model/size you are using?

Does anyone else have any experience? We are looking at around the 1TB range.

No problems I'm aware...in fact, we just switched a customer over to an SSD drive and put the system database on it (attachments, logs etc. were on a bigger, but slower spindle disk)...and the feedback was 'night and day' performance difference.

Moving your MySQL system database that Zarafa uses to an SSD is probably the single most important factor wrt to performance that you could do.
