Just received an email from the guys over at Plex with an announcement on their latest release.

Note to all who use Plex on ClearOS - I've moved in place 0.9.11.16.958-80f1748 from testing to the base Plex version for ClearOS, replacing version 0.9.11.7.803-87d0708. If you are set to auto-update or update anytime in the future, you'll upgrade to version 0.9.11.16.958-80f1748. It's been sitting in the test repos for about a month now, and I haven't had any issues running it.

Now sitting in the test repos is the latest version, 0.9.12.0.1071-7b11cfc. To install, run:

ENABLE_BETA=True yum upgrade plexmediaserver

    I've put 9.15.4.1911 in the test repo so it can be upgraded with the beta flag:

    ENABLE_BETA=True yum upgrade plexmediaserver

    Provided you have installed the app via the Marketplace in Webconfig prior to this command.

    It may take 30-60 minutes to sync to the mirrors.

    Okay, so now that Plex 9.16.4.1911 is out, is there anyone who updates the sour channels for clearos to allow current versions of plex to be installed? Or is there a better way to allow ClearOS to update plex?

    Thanks Ben!

    I also received the mail the from the Plex guys. I already wanted to install it manually but this is not necessary anymore. Great service...
