AFAIK, the two registry changes https://www.clearos.com/resources/documentation/clearos/content:en_us:kb_adding_workstation_to_a_domain#windows_7_and_later_registry_changes_to_join_a_domain are needed for both Win7 and Windows Server 2012. What I don't know is the patch level for Windows Server 2012 as M$ made a mess of things with the 1803 update (if it applies). 1809 should be OK, but a patch was released in September which fixed the 1803 versions (in Win10 at least).

What errors are you seeing?

    how to apply two changes to the registry? please show and also from the command prompt.
    Winver uses the standard Windows Server 2012R Build

    That is symptomatic of not applying the two registry changes. Please can you confirm that you have applied them to the workstations and server? Also, from the command prompt, what is the Version and OS Build from the command "winver"?

    this message continues to appear "The specified domain does not exist or can not be contacted" when I log in.

    can not join the domain through Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012


    I need a clear os configuration tutorial as a primary domain controller in a virtual box with a Windows 10 client, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2012
