Hi all,
I have a strange behaviour here is my configuration:
ppp0 ( via eth0 ) : ISP1 (bridge modem)
eth1 : ISP2 ( bridge modem )
eth2 : internal LAN
DNS not autoconfigued from the ISP but set to opendns in the ipsettings menu.
When one ISP line goes down ( I tried both ) , dns from any client goes down, but if I login in Clearos nslookup or dig works!
So why dns query from clients doesnt work?
DHCP server is configured correctly to clients wiht DNS server set to Clearos LAN IP address ( the same as gateway).
Do you know some log where to look? resolv.conf is 127.0.0.1 and resolv-peers is correcly set to opendns servers.
any ideas?
thanks in advance,
Simone

Anyone ?
I think this should be a classic multiwan scenario, so why this behaviour?
I followed clearos raccomandation to not set automatic dns on the wan interfaces, for multiwan scenario, and set public open dns globally .
My two WANs are eth and pppoe is this a possible problem? Do clearos have trouble managing two wan of different type like that?
Simon
