ClearOS Feature Request

multi-ARM capability for ClearOS

Under Processors Support, ClearOS has "x86" and "ARM".

For quite some time, RedSleeve's patches have provided RHEL-like experience for previous-generation ARM hardware (for example, Raspberry Pi).

Recently, Fedora and CentOS have started supporting current-generation ARM hardware (for example, Raspberry Pi 2).

As ClearOS descends from CentOS and has (typically) lower requirements due to being specialised (and not running full X, etc.) that means we should get the new ARM support "for free" from upstream CentOS. What would
really
set ClearOS apart from the crowd would be if it were to incorporate both the work done for (relatively) old ARM at RedSleeve and the work done for new ARM at RedHat so that ClearOS would run on both ARMs (or AMD64, obviously), while its "competition" (sibling projects) can only run on new ARM (or AMD64).

Since the other projects have already done the lion's share of this development, I think ClearOS could get great benefit for minimal investment here. As a distribution targeted at servers, which are running permanently but don't need to have fast CPUs, ARM is perfect and a two-ARMed ClearOS would be in high(er) demand, especially as Samba Directory matures and Microsoft offerings become increasingly onerous.
