Hello ClearOS Community.
I am in the midst of moving to ClearOS 7 Home Essentials. I am installing this on new hardware and am migrating settings from the old to the new. Everything is fine so far, and the last thing that I have on the list of owncloud. According to COS, Community 6.7 had owncloud 7.0.4 and COS Home has owncloud 8.2.4. According to the owncloud documentation, to upgrade from 7.0.4 to 8.2.4 I need to follow the upgrade path, which would be 7.0.4 -> 7.0.12 -> 8.0.10 -> 8.1.5 -> 8.2.4. Clearly I cannot do this.
I really only need to move the data, and I can certainly use mysqldump to export the 7x data and then load it in to the 8x owncloud, but my guess is that this will result in a broken owncloud 8x installation due to likely database schema changes in owncloud 8x. Or maybe it's really that easy? Searching the owncloud forums only results in "follow the upgrade path".
Somebody in this forum must have moved from owncloud 7x to owncloud 8x with COS. What did you do?
Thanks,
Dirk
