Modern Cups cannot print to clearos

Have several Linux machines on our network. Have several Windows workstation and servers. Windows servers can print to clearos just fine. Linux cups versions greater than 2.1 cannot print to cups 1.6 which is what is on the clearos server. How do I upgrade this to a more modern version of cups?

    Sorry for the delay, but notification e-mails of new posts have been failing.

    I'm afraid we just provide the Centos packages and they provide the EL7 ones. What you will find is that EL7 will have back-ported many of the later fixes into their current version.
