I'm looking for the video drivers for the HPE MicroServer Gen10. Clear published a document saying they could be downloaded from their FTP server after logging in with username pub and password pub, but the server rejects those login credentials. Does anyone know where to get those drivers?

Can you please post the link? I know I've seen it somewhere. Note I had problems and could not get a graphical desktop to run properly a year or so ago, but that may have just been me.

Not so easy. To start with, the link is an http site, but then you have to work out how to construct the URL and than I can't see the drivers anyway. I'll ask around.

The ftp site and the login credentials are referenced on that page. Look at the bottom of the page under "Special Considerations - HPE MicroServer Gen10".

The site is available by http: http://ftp1.clearos.com/pub but the folder path you need is not there and does not exist in the server. I've done a full search.

Thanks for looking. I couldn't find it there either. I guess they decided to make it unavailable, which is a shame. Neither AMD nor HPE seem to freely offer them either.

I bought the box to use it for other things in addition to a NAS, like a home security camera system. It came with a ClearOS installer from HPE built-in, so I thought I'd give it a try. But, I guess if I want the graphics to work and don't want to be locked to a ClearOS walled garden, then my OS choices are either Windows or Debian at this time. So Debian it will be, unless I find drivers for ClearOS.

    Thanks gain for looking.

I think you have misunderstood. Most Centos7 and EL7 packages are binary compatible with ClearOS. Try the Centos 7.6 driver from the link I gave.

You are right, I did misunderstand. Unfortunately the installer for the RHEL 7.6 / CentOS 7.6 driver gives an "Unsupported RedHat derivitive OS" error when trying to install.

Dodgy installer. If you want, you should be able to trick it by editing changing /etc/os-release and temporarily changing the ID to "rhel" or "centos". Then I bumped into another issue. The link in Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q4 for Linux Release Notes is wrong. You need the RHEL8 link from there :S. Alternatively use the link in the Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q3 for Linux Release Notes page. They download the same software.

I have got the drivers to install by doing that. Remember to change VERSION back afterwards.

There is one error during install:
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 3.10.0-1062.9.1.el7.x86_64 (x86_64)
    Consult /var/lib/dkms/amdgpu/19.10-819430.el7/build/make.log for more information.
warning: %post(amdgpu-dkms-0:19.10-819430.el7.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 10
Non-fatal POSTIN scriptlet failure in rpm package amdgpu-dkms-19.10-819430.el7.noarch
I have not checked that out to see the significance. Also my Microserver is in the attic and runs headless so I have no idea if it works. From memory there is one other thing you need to do to get the desktop to display and I think it was in the instructions you linked to.

I would like to mention that ClearOS is primarily a server operating system and is designed to run headless. I have no idea how it functions with a desktop or how to operate the desktop and install packages for it. Yum will probably work but I don't know if Gnome comes with a GUI package manager. I believe you can even access the desktop remotely using VNC.
