Hi,

Yesterday I tried setting up a build system on my 7.x VM and followed these instructions from the Developer's menu. I ran the "clearos setup" macro and it created my user but the macro did not create the rpmbuild directory structure anywhere. I would have expected it to be created under the build user's home folder. but it was nowhere to be found. Also the %_topdir was not set up in .rpmmacros. I don't think this is correct. Please can you confirm?

Also in the developer docs, the Build System link is broken with a duplicated "http://"; in the link.

Nick

Hi Nick - I came across this one too, in v7 the directories are now generated automatically by the rpmbuild command within the users home directory path
    e.g.
    /home/user1/rpmbuild/RPMS/

You can of course still specify an alternative using the _topdir variable in ~/.rpmmacros

Ok, then no bug, thanks. I manually created them before running rpmbuild as I needed the the SOURCES directory to download into before I could run the rpmbuild command. A catch 22.

..... but the link is still broken.
