Hi all- just installed ClearOS. I am familiar with Linux and most of the packages. What stumps me is the condensed help files and automatic configurations (I just don't know what its doing ). I am used to more info to read and make use of.
I have my box set up as a gateway.
eth0 is LAN side. eth1 is WAN side.
DHCP configuration lists the WAN side as a subnet. I do not want DHCP on the outside.
Is it safe to delete this interface from here?
Ordinarily I would RTFM and then comment out a line in a config file, but since the configs and setups are hidden, I am hesitant to delete without knowing if I could restore for any reason.

thanks in advance

Check your LAN/External role settings in Sysconfig > Network > IP Settings > Network Interfaces are OK ( they probably are), then hit the "Delete" button by eth1 in the DHCP server settings. I *think* this will reset it to status = disabled and the Delete button changes to "Configure". If it does great. If not, then I'm not sure.
