I am looking into switching from sophos to clearos and have one important roadblock to deal with before it is possible. I have an ipsec tunnel from my house to another. On the other end is a ubiquiti USG. The ipsec settings can't be changed a whole lot on the USG. Is it possible, without paying $100 a year, to set up an tunnel like that with clearOS? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you for taking a look Nick. I will poke around with it this evening and see if I get anywhere. Luckily for me both sides are static so that helps.

Get the settings from the Ubiquity or Sophos. If it is just using a PSK it should be easily possible but you'll probably need to tinker with the configs. If you're in luck the basic free settings will be good enough. Does either end or both have static IP's?

Also have a look at the libreswan.org site.
