Steps that I have taken:
I always like to disable the repo after the install, this can be done by changing the: /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo enable entry from 1 to 0:
The installation of git version 1.7.12.4 and gitweb:
Now for the startup of gitweb not exactly sure how that goes:
The above commands might be the same and configures a service of some kind not yet there, any one wants to join in to this conversation are welcome
yum install http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el6/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
