Is it possible to install ClearOS to a USB stick instead of a harddrive?
I run another server from USB stick with great success, can it be done with ClearOS as well?

I am only going to use this install as a gateway/firewall/DNS and DHCP.

I just used YUMI 2.0.5.1 and selected Centos installer from the distribution list, then checked show all ISOs. Browsed to the Clearos 7.4 Iso and clicked create. Worked first time no problems.

Yes - it should be possible. I have several CentOS servers running on USB sticks (and COS is based on Cent). You just have to be sure your computer will boot from the USB drive.

    I have not tried yet.
I do not care for the energy saving, just to be able to swap a usb stick if the system disk died. Easy and quick replacement of a cloned usb stick instead of having to swap disks and occupy a whole disk for the system.

My fileserver run entirely of a usb stick (freenas) - brilliant!

Waiting for next version, I really been waiting for the 64bit version.

Have You managed to install ClearOS to the usb stick?

I have installed several ClearOS instances to SSD drives, so if the USB Stick install will not go ok, and if You are after energy savings and reliability (less mechanical parts), You can always try the small 32gb ssd way.
