Hello All,

I have created folders to be shared via FTP server and FlexShare. I can access the folder via FTP but once in the folder I am unable to change directories. I receive the error no such file or directory. after receiving this error the contents of the folder disappear as well.

Did I configure something incorrectly?

Thanks for all responses

    I'm using WINSCP.

On initial login I am able to see all folders and files. The minute I access a folder I am stuck in that folder.

When I try to go back to the home directory it tells me no such file or directory.

I will try removing the folders and re-adding them. I just want to make sure i'm creating these folders correctly. I didn't have this issue at all in the previous release 6.x.x.

If you created the folders through the flexshare app and then placed all the files through a Windows/Samba share or through FTP then all the folders and files shoulf have the correct permissions. Folder and file group ownership should be either allusers or the group the share belongs to. I don't think the user ownership of folders or files matters.

Which FTP client are you using. I use WinSCP and FileZilla for minor testing but I don't use FTP much, although I have a camera which does. Logging on as the camera user with WinSCP, I have no problems navigating the camers's folders.

    hello,

    thank you for responding.

I created the folders via the flexshares app.

do I need to connect via CLI and chmod the folders?

How did you create the folders? The top level is normally created by the flexshare app and the sub-folders should then be created using the flexshares. If you created them using something like WinSCP they may have the wrong permissions.
