    Is your server in Standalone or Standalone with Firewall mode? If you have the firewall, please can you switch to without for the moment.

    Have you given your users flexshare access? Unfortunately I don't use flexshares so it takes me a while to understand what is happening.

    Hello Nick,
    I did a minor change. I mounted the fileserver-1 in the FlexshareDircustom in the flexshare.conf file. Now I am able to see the FILESERVER-1 in the network systems. But when I try to access it, It is not even asking for the username and password.

    FlexsharePW=
    FlexshareDirCustom=/var/flexshare/shares/fileserver-1
    FlexshareSecurityPermissions=on
    <Share fileserver-1>
    FtpModified=1464161172
    FtpEnabled=

    Hello Nick,
    Thank you for your reply. I am not even able to see the shares in the network. Please take a look at the configuration I have done. I have created a flexshare and also have configured windows networking(Samba). I have created users in the System>Accounts section. Please point out the error I have done. I just want a simple filesharing in the LAN nothing else.

    Do you mean login or do you mean connect to the shares? If it is connect to the shares, you should be able to use your user's name and password. You could try the "net use" command at the command line.

    Is samba set up in Simple File Sharing mode or as a PDC?

    Are you using LDAP or Active Directory for credentials?
